I've never worked with xlr before and yet to find any help online. My main problems right now are finding out how to solder my radioshack piezo to my xlr male. I plan to hook up an XLR female to 1/4 male So i can hook it up to the back of my alesis dm5. So in my project I decided to use a radioshack piezo, and a male xlr instead of the 1/4 jack axis uses. I'd like to do these since I only have a single bass drum and want to avoid double triggering and so on. The neat part about these is that instead of being attached to the drum head they go to the side of your pedal and have a little hammer thats attached to your pedal so that whenever you step down on the pedal the litte hammer comes down and strikes the piezo sending the signal. Which is pretty much a piezo soldered to a 1/4 female inside a black box. So i decided to make an account.Īnyway I've tackled on the project to make a trigger similar to the Axis Ekit setup. I usually always come here and find whatever help I need.
